But Rune has kept his side of the bargain and the projected quarterfinal between these two has come to fruition. Djokovic’s level has improved steadily with each round and he’s taken off that protective sleeve on his elbow which is positive news as far as his fitness is concerned. While Rune comes in with a fair shot of winning this match and it would be a massive statement for the Roland Garros pre-tournament scriptwriters to ponder, Djokovic seems to have put to bed that early rust at this year’s clay swing.
