Djokovic vs Alcaraz Head-to-Head

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are tied at 1-1 in their head to head on the ATP Tour. Alcaraz won their first meeting in a tight battle in Madrid last year, whereas Djokovic would go on to level their head-to-head at this year’s French Open in the semifinals. Djokovic is the clear favorite ahead of Sunday’s final, but there’s no player more equipped to challenge him at the moment than Alcaraz.

Djokovic vs Alcaraz Prediction

We have a rematch of the French Open semifinal from last month with top seed Carlos Alcaraz facing off against four-time defending champion Novak Djokovic in an absolute blockbuster for the Men’s singles final at this year’s Wimbledon. Their last clash sadly had an anticlimactic finish to it. Here’s hoping this one will live up to the billing right to the final point.

Novak Djokovic cruised past Jannik Sinner, putting on an excellent display of grass-court tennis as he advanced to a 35th career grand slam final. Alcaraz on the other hand crushed Daniil Medvedev, easily overpowering him with his net play and quick tennis. Both matchups were highly anticipated, but the favorites in each one both came through quite easily.

Alcaraz will be Djokovic’s toughest opponent on the grass since he defeated Federer in their epic 2019 Wimbledon final, but I still feel that Djokovic’s game is too strong for the Spaniard on this surface. He’ll play aggressively in his return games, and with how efficient his serving has become, I expect him to be on the gas pedal for a good portion of the match, making it difficult for Alcaraz to execute the kind of game plan he used against Medvedev.

It’ll be a competitive clash, but Djokovic will still be convincing in his tennis, not to mention his mind-boggling 10-year unbeaten run on Centre Court gives him an aura of invincibility. I expect him to win this final and claim a 24th grand slam title, along with a record-tying 8th Wimbledon title at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
