Alcaraz vs Medvedev Head-to-Head
Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev are tied at 1-1 in their head-to-head. Medvedev won the pair’s first meeting at Wimbledon in 2021 in straight sets, back when a fresh-faced Alcaraz hadn’t become a household name. The Spaniard has since avenged that loss in the final of Indian Wells this season.

Alcaraz vs Medvedev Prediction
World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz continues to underline his title credentials on his least-favorite surface. After his rampant straight sets win over sixth seed Holger Rune, Alcaraz was delighted to play at such a high level on grass, later admitting it’s been a crazy ride. Crazy indeed.
He’s withstood two monstrous-hitting towers in Nicolas Jarry and Matteo Berrettini to make his first quarterfinal at Wimbledon. Alcaraz’s superior serving and fine volleying enabled him to take total control of Holger Rune in his quarterfinal match, winning in convincing fashion playing some brilliant grass court tennis, and as the favorite in this semifinal against Daniil Medvedev we can expect to see more of the same aggressive tennis.
Medvedev on the other hand had to fight as hard as he has all year, taking out Eubanks in 5 sets, making a key adjustment after going down 2 sets to 1 by moving up on the return. He’ll need to do that again against Alcaraz, or else he’ll get killed on the +1 from the Spaniard.
The positive for Medvedev is his serving looks as good as it’s been in a while, and if he can keep that up he’ll very much like his chances to compete for a spot in the final. Alcaraz definitely has the upper hand in terms of how their games intertwine, but Medvedev will make his adjustments and I expect a tight match, but for Alcaraz to hold up to his seeding and advance to the final of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
