He now faces back to back brutal challenges as he comes up against Maxime Cressy, a fellow in form American who’s looking to continue his streak. In order to take him down, he’s going to serve really well, and outwit Maxime off his return, unfortunately for Jack, his return game isn’t particularly rated, so his work may be cut out for him here at the 2022 Citi Open.

Their one meeting came in Wimbledon this year, with Sock pulling off the surprising upset after Cressy came off the huge FAA win, taking him down in 4 sets. Solely because of this, I believe Sock has the weapons to take down Cressy once more, but it won’t be easy as the two fight for a place in the last 16 at the 2022 Citi Open.
