Sofia Kenin built on her momentum gained from her opening round match to beat Hailey Baptiste in the Round of 64 in straight sets 7-5/6-3. Sofia Kenin was trying to find her range and get a feel for her much lower ranked opponent in the first set, which is why it went to 7-5. However, once she felt comfortable, Kenin cruised away with the second set. Sofia Kenin is a player who was underestimated a lot in the last couple years, but she has time and time again proved doubters wrong, and I am sure she will want to prevent the upset by Jessica Pegula in this Round of 32 match to ensure she can prove doubters wrong again here at Roland Garros.
