Daniil Medvedev leads Christopher Eubanks 1-0 in their head-to-head on the ATP Tour. Medvedev took out Eubanks in the quarterfinals of the Miami Masters earlier this year, winning 6-3 7-5. Medvedev definitely comes in as the favorite, but Eubanks has a huge game and can definitely cause some problems.

Daniil Medvedev played a solid match against Jiri Lehecka, the Czech wasn’t able to compete at his best, unfortunately being forced to retire due to injury down two sets to love. Still, Medvedev booked his spot in the last eight and has now reached at least the quarterfinals of every major.

He’ll be loving his draw as he takes on a dangerous player in Christopher Eubanks, but still someone who I don’t feel will really be able to push him. Eubanks upset Tsitsipas in five epic sets, serving great and hitting tons of winners, but I don’t think that style of play will work effectively against Medvedev, as his defensive capabilities will counteract a lot of what Eubanks will try to do, particularly from the baseline where Medvedev is very difficult to outduel.

I expect a couple of tight sets, but for Medvedev to prevail convincingly and book a place in the last four of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
