Carlos Alcaraz and Borna Coric have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. Coric needs to serve big, but if Khachanov couldn’t even snag a set off Alcaraz with the way he serves, Coric will also need to change up his tactics and potentially try to grind Alcaraz down, not going for too much as Alcaraz will punish him. Still, Alcaraz is one of the best in the world in the longer exchanges and I expect him to defeat Coric in almost every metric as he looks ahead to the final at the 2023 Madrid Open.
