TennisSection previews the 2023 Indian Wells Masters as Andrey Rublev takes on Cameron Norrie in the fourth round on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Andrey Rublev starts as the favorite in his fourth-round match against Cameron Norrie. But given his up-and-down season, it is not beyond the British No.1 to spring a surprise. So who will prevail and reach the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Masters?
Andrey Rublev vs. Cameron Norrie Match Preview
Andrey Rublev has been summoned to play his best tennis at the 2023 Indian Wells Masters and he has duly delivered so far, beating the fast-rising Jiri Lehecka in his first match and then putting Ugo Humbert to the sword on Sunday. The fact that Rublev won both of those matches in straight sets is a great indicator that he is slowly getting back to his best level. But he is playing one of the Tour’s early pacesetters in 2023 in Cameron Norrie. So will Rublev prevail?

Cameron Norrie has scored the second-most match wins in 2023 with 20, second behind Daniil Medvedev. With three final appearances already (won one title in Rio), Norrie is among the ATP’s most consistent performers this year and came through a grueling three-setter against Taro Daniel. Despite going down a set and a break, Norrie secured seven breaks of serve to turn the match on its head and advance into the fourth round of the Indian Wells Masters.

Andrey Rublev vs. Cameron Norrie Prediction and Pick
Andrey Rublev leads Cameron Norrie 2-1 in their head-to-head, with Rublev taking their last meeting at the 2022 US Open in straight sets. Norrie, however, has hit a purple patch of late. The topspin forehand has been his signature shot, but he’s got a game-changing flat backhand that works a treat on these slow-playing conditions. Rublev’s power can be neutralized at Indian Wells. Norrie’s retrieval skills could come in handy with that extra second or two on this surface tilting this match in his favor.
