Norrie will now be looking to keep his undefeated streak to start the year intact when he plays Jenson Brooksby.

Jenson Brooksby, for his part, is also yet to taste defeat this season. Playing in his first tournament of 2023 this week, Brooksby escaped the shackles of Fabio Fognini, then received a walkover in the second round against Diego Schwartzman. Brooksby came out on top against big-hitting Quentin Halys, beating the Frenchman in two tiebreaks. Will he reach the Auckland Open final at the expense of a man who was raised in New Zealand?
