His fellow Argentine is the top ranked player in the draw and it is perhaps unreasonable to expect a victory from Ficovich here. Can he cause the major upset?
This will be the first meeting between the two players on the ATP Tour, and we are expecting smooth sailing for Diego Schwartzman. Juan Pablo Ficovich has looked solid so far here at the 2022 Cordoba Open, but there is simply too big a gulf in quality and eperience between the two players. Schwartzman is one of the best players in the world on this surface, and while his countryman is talented, this will be one way traffic. The top seed will cruise to victory here in Cordoba, moving ahead to his first Quarter-Final of the year in straight sets.
