Zverev vs Dimitrov Prediction
Alexander Zverev is looking to reach the quarterfinals at the French Open again but faces a dangerous challenger in Grigor Dimitrov on Monday. Zverev took out Frances Tiafoe in four sets under the lights on Saturday, needing to play with enthusiasm and energy to beat the flamboyant American. He served 13 aces, but accounted for a distressing 10 double faults and was broken five times. Dimitrov has yet to drop a set in Paris, cruising through the opening week, dodging a projected third-round clash against Jannik Sinner, and defeated his conqueror Daniel Altmaeier in straight sets. The Bulgarian’s skillset makes him a daunting prospect to spring an upset, with his variety expected to make life problematic for Zverev. But the German has never had such problems in this matchup with his lone defeat in their head-to-head coming 11 years ago when Zverev was still a teenager. Money is on the German here.
