Murray vs Fognini Prediction
Andy Murray and Fabio Fognini are tied at 4-4 in their head-to-head. Their last meeting in Shanghai was a high-tempered affair that Fognini won in three dramatic sets. Murray told Fognini to ”shut up” at the changeover after the Italian shouted while Murray was finishing off a volley. The Scot will be keen to even the scores from that clash and take the head-to-head lead in the series. He’s the man in better form after winning the Aix-en-Provence Challenger this past week, beating top seed Tommy Paul in the final. Fognini is the enigma of Italian tennis, but we’ll get to see him super pumped for the occasion in front of a cheerful and exuberant crowd. Sadly for him, he’s not at Murray’s level right now and is definitely short of match sharpness after his ankle injury in Estoril. Back the former champion to ease through in his Rome Masters opener.
