Emil Ruusuvuori lost Jan-Lennard Struff 6-7, 7-5, 0-6 in the final round of qualifying at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters. But Frances Tiafoe’s expected withdrawal at the 11th hour has handed him a main draw berth as a lucky loser. Ruusuvuori has never excelled on the clay throughout his career and enters Tuesday’s match against Jiri Lehecka as the big underdog.
