Matteo Berrettini has looked great this week since losing early in Australia, hardly dropping games en route to the quarterfinals. Berrettini has struggled with injuries in the last year, and unfortunately has dropped quite far in the rankings due to that. Though he’ll certainly have his chances against Rune, I feel as if Rune will have the answers for Berrettini’s aggression from the baseline as these two clash for a spot in the final four here at the 2023 Acapulco Open.

Their lone meeting came almost a year ago at Indian Wells, with Berrettini winning in a sloppy three-setter, many months before Rune’s rise to the top of the game.
