This will be a fascinating one, where we have one of last year’s quarterfinalists facing a tough obstacle on his way to returning to the final eight. Felix Auger-Aliassime has had a tough tournament so far, every match he’s played has been tough and I haven’t really liked his level all that much. Fortunately for him, this was the same case last year and he absolutely came alive in the quarterfinal. FAA has a massive serve, and to be honest I don’t think Lehecka is ready to beat Felix. Although this match may scream upset, I think the Canadian should be given a lot of credit here as he looks to move through to the last eight in back to back years here at the 2023 Australian Open.

Jiri Lehecka has had the tournament of his dreams, taking out Coric and Norrie, with the win over Norrie being in particularly epic fashion throughout 5 sets. As he comes up against Felix Auger-Aliassime, it becomes without a doubt his toughest match yet. FAA has not been playing his best tennis, but we know that he can turn on at any time and Lehecka in my opinion isn’t ready to get such a win for a place in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Australian Open.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jiri Lehecka have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. It’s hard to predict how this one will go, and with Lehecka possessing a strong double hander, his tactics in this match will be obvious, but Auger-Aliassime has his serve to fall back on, not to mention that I think he can absolutely outhit Lehecka from the baseline, something Norrie was not able to do.
