Pablo Carreno-Busta will be a tough opponent as he’s defending so well and is such a brilliant counter-puncher, but I can’t see him doing much against the arsenal the Pole possesses as he aims to win a 2nd masters title at the 2022 Montreal Open.

Pablo Carreno-Busta took down Dan Evans in an exciting match from his end, showing he’s ready to facd pressure and an in form to take on Hubert Hurkacz in the final battle here in Montreal. It’s been a while since he’s been on a stage like this, but I don’t think he’ll have any issues adjusting. He knows what he’s doing on a hard court and I expect him to put up a good fight, but ultimately I don’t see him being able to overcome the hurdles that will be presented to him in this match as he looks to somehow find a way and become the champion of the 2022 Montreal Open.

Hubert Hurkacz and Pablo Carreno-Busta have met twice before, with the head to head being tied at 1-1. Their first meeting came last year in Cincinnati, with PCB winning in 2 tight sets, Hurkacz got him in their next meeting in Metz, once again in 2 tight sets. It’s a tight matchup, and on the slower conditions you have to argue that Carreno-Busta has a fighting chance, but Hurkacz has been serving up a storm, and I foresee him continuing his storm of aggression into the finals as he’ll fight to take down Pablo-Carreno Busta and claiming the championship of the 2022 Montreal Open.
