Lorenzo Musetti was absolutely incredible in his first round match here in Sardegna, destroying Dennis Novak in straight sets 6-0/6-1. Musetti was just ready to win every point from start to finish in that match, and he did not lift his foot off the pedal at any time throughout the match. Musetti is one of the best up and coming talents at the moment, and he will be very determined to get himself far into the tournament at the 2021 Sardegna Open to impress any Italian fans watching him on television. Musetti has a great playing style, and loves playing on clay. Musetti will want to cause yet another upset against a seeded player here in Daniel Evans, but will he be able to use his energy to beat experience?
Daniel Evans and Lorenzo Musetti have never met before, and we are definitely in for a very exciting and tight encounter here in the Second Round of the 2021 Sardegna Open. Both players are in great form at the moment, and can win it. However, going off of their strengths and weaknesses, I see Lorenzo Musetti winning here. Musetti loves clay-courts, whilst Daniel Evans struggles in these conditions. Adding to this, Musetti has already played a strong match here, whilst Evans will be just arriving from Miami and will have to adjust both to the time zone and the surface quickly. It will be a tight match here, but Lorenzo Musetti will make his way to the Quarter-finals.
