Haddad Maia has got some metal lungs because not long ago she was involved in another marathon in Rome (lost to Kalinina) – meaning she’s been part of the two longest WTA matches of the season. She’s also played a trio of three-set matches in Paris which certainly squeezed a lot more juice out of her legs. In Stuttgart, she won only three games against Jabeur, and I feel this will be chastening afternoon for the Brazilian lefty.
