It’s the first-ever meeting between Hubert Hurkacz and Tallon Griekspoor. Neither player had a good clay court season, both losing early in most tournaments they played. It’s safe to say Hurkacz’s poor serving certainly will be exploited by the conditions, but with his experience and ranking, he’ll remain the slight favorite.

Both players came through an opening five-setter, with Hurkacz dispatching Goffin and Griekspoor taking down Martinez. Neither player is in good form, but Hurkacz has experience at this level whereas Griekspoor hasn’t recorded too many wins at this stage. Hurkacz will be hoping to serve better than he did in his first match, or else Griekspoor will be able to grind him down from the baseline. Ultimately though, I’d expect Hurkacz to come through the tougher moments in the match, especially considering Griekspoor hasn’t recorded back-to-back wins since Rotterdam in February.
