Norrie vs Pouille Head-to-Head
Cameron Norrie and Lucas Pouille are tied at 1-1 in their head-to-head. Remarkably, this will be their third clash at Grand Slam level. Pouille won their match at the 2018 French Open before Norrie evened the scores at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.
Norrie vs Pouille Prediction
Cameron Norrie was inside a lion’s den for much of his thrilling five-set match against the combustible Frenchman Benoit Paire. Great credit has to go to Norrie that he managed to turn that match around and win against a volatile and one-man atmosphere on Lenglen. On a day when Dan Evans went out and Jack Draper retired, Norrie was Britian’s last remaining hope in the draw and he duly delivered, clawing back a 4-2 deficit in the fifth set to hold off an inspired Paire. He’ll take on another Frenchman in Lucas Pouille, who qualified for this tournament and ended up playing a lucky loser who was the same opponent he beat in qualies. Pouille did the double over Jurij Rodionov in a fever-pitch atmosphere on Court 14. Pouille’s comeback has been a long time coming, but he has yet to play a top-100 player for a while and we’re unlikely to see a fairytale here.
