It’s the first ever meeting between Coric and Marozsan. There’s not much to say about a hypothetical matchup, but Marozsan has displayed immense quality from the baseline, so if he can keep that up I expect him to be the one dictating play.

Fabian Marozsan is the story of the week so far in Rome, contesting his first ever Masters 1000 main draw appearance, and yet taking out two seeds so far including the soon to be ranked World No. 1 in straight sets. Marozsan displayed a masterclass of dropshots and aggressive baseline play, and I expect him to use these weapons to continue his run as he takes on Borna Coric. Coric looks to have improved since his slump of the first part of the season, so it’ll be yet another challenge for the Hungarian but I think he’ll at least nick a set here especially given Coric’s slow start to sets this week. And with Marozsan’s confidence at an all-time high, he’s worth taking in that market.
