His win over Jurij Rodionov was perhaps expected but not to the extent where the Austrian just hardly mastered any offensive move. The Serbian will take some stopping in this form, but Bernabe Zapata Miralles knows a thing or two about taking down the seeds this week.

Bernabe Zapata Miralles and clay is a match made in heaven. The Spaniard scored the second top-20 win of his career (both have been on clay), by beating the second seed Hubert Hurkacz 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the last eight at the Estoril Open. His win over the Pole is now the biggest of his career rank-wise and sets him up for a potential semifinal run in his third clay-court tournament this season.

Miomir Kecmanovic and Bernabe Zapata Miralles have not played each other on the ATP Tour, with this quarterfinal match at the Estoril Open being their first meeting.
