Ekaterina Alexandrova, for her part, has breezed into the quarterfinal at the Charleston Open, picking up two straight sets wins over Yulia Putintseva and Julia Grabher. Alexandrova lost to Bencic in the semifinal of this tournament last year, so she will buoyed to get over the line this time.
