Alexander Zverev got a solid first win, serving well and playing some good aggressive tennis from the baseline. Sebastian Baez may be a tricky opponent, but Zverev’s massive game will just be too much, I don’t expect the German to run into too many issues. Zverev is on fire when he’s aggressive, and against Baez he’ll really be able to open his shoulders and fire from all cylinders. Let’s see what the World No. 3 can do as he aims to move through to the last 32 of the 2022 French Open.
Sebastian Baez has been playing some solid tennis this year, looking more and more like he could be a successor to Schwartzman. Alexander Zverev will be one brutal match though, and there’s really nothing Baez will be able to do to stop him. He’ll have to hope Zverev is having an off day, and while that is a possibility as we’ve seen from him in the past, it’s very unlikely that he can do too much more here at the 2022 French Open.

Their one match actually just came in Rome, and the result wasn’t super one-sided, but Zverev won in straights nevertheless. In best of 5, it’s an even different game, and while Zverev is definitely superior in best of 3, against someone like Baez he’s the overwhelming favorite in any conditions, especially these as Zverev aims down the Round of 32 at the 2022 French Open.
