The first set was really Kiki Bertens trying to get used to the conditions in Madrid again and trying to find her best rhythm, and once she won that, she was able to just dominate the rest of the match, not putting a foot wrong. Kiki Bertens is a star on the WTA Tour, but she has not been able to shine for the last year. Hopefully here Kiki Bertens can continue to improve, and beat opponents like Veronika Kudermetova, to improve her level and confidence.
