Alejandro will now be even more confident having knocked out a player who has a lot of experience on the ATP Tour, and he will want to channel that confidence in this Quarter-final match against Ugo Humbert. Ugo Humbert came through a very tight opening match here in the Second Round of the 2021 Estoril Open, hanging on to victory against the clay-court loving Marco Cecchinato, winning in 3 sets 6-4/3-6/6-3. The real difference maker in that match was that Ugo Humbert was able to spread the court a bit more than other players would have with his lefty swing. This, as well as his ability to hit some big shots to speed up the rallies, was what allowed him to book his spot in this Quarter-final match. However, Ugo Humbert will now have to ensure he is at an even higher level against a much tougher opponent in Alejandro Davidovich Fokina who will make you work hard for every single point.

Although the match was a domination from Humbert, this match was in a Challenger event on a carpet surface. This is on clay, a surface which Alejandro Davidovich Fokina loves, and I am very sure the match result will be different. I expect this to be a tight match due to both players wanting to give it their best shot at the Semi-finals, but I see Alejandro Davidovich Fokina winning in the end.
