Munar was trained and mentored by the Rafa Nadal Academy and Nadal himself and he will have a lot of expertise that will aid him in this match. Munar, although short, has a strong serve and when his serve is not firing, he is able to move around the court with great speed to ensure he will get himself into rallies. Munar now meets an extremely tough opponent in Carlos Alcaraz and he will have to ensure he is at his peak if he wants to make the Final.
Carlos Alcaraz put on a great performance against Casper Ruud in the Quarter-final, beating the much more experienced player in 2 sets, 6-2/6-4. Alcaraz is having a great week here, having already beaten the likes of Feliciano Lopez. Carlos Alcaraz will be feeling extremely confident with his playing style at the moment, and he has been impressing the tennis world with his amazing talent, especially on clay at such a young age. Carlos is on top of his game, and he also continues to improve, but he will also have to ensure he does not get too far ahead of himself with confidence and he needs to make sure he focused on the next task at hand. Jaume Munar and Carlos Alcaraz have never met before, with this being their first encounter on the ATP Tour. This is definitely going to be a very interesting and tight match in the Semi-finals of the 2021 Andalucia Open, and both players can win it if they are in their best form.
