Andrey Rublev vs. Yoshihito Nishioka Preview
Will Andrey Rublev get the win? Will Yoshihito Nishioka pull off the upset? This will be an interesting one, where we have the Monte-Carlo champion looking to reach the second week. Who will triumph and move through to the Round of 16 at the 2023 Madrid Open?
Andrey Rublev secured a great first win over Stan Wawrinka, getting through 7-5 6-4, picking up from where he’s left off in the last few weeks. Yoshihito Nishioka is a tough matchup for Rublev, but on the red clay I think Rublev will fancy his chances a lot more especially considering the form he’s in. Let’s see if the Russian is able to book his spot in the Round of 16 once again here at the 2023 Madrid Open.
Yoshihito Nishioka has a tough one ahead of him in taking on Andrey Rublev, one of the form players on the ATP Tour and someone who will surely be the one dictating play. Nishioka will have to rely on his defense and agility, trying his best to grind out the points and not let Rublev get too many first ball forehands. Let’s see if he’s able to do that and somehow pull off this upset at the 2023 Madrid Open.
Andrey Rublev vs. Yoshihito Nishioka Prediction and Pick
Andrey Rublev and Yoshihito Nishioka have met three times before, with Yoshihito Nishioka leading the head to head 2-1. It’s a tough matchup for Rublev, Nishioka is able to defend really well and give Rublev a lot of heavier balls which are tough to attack, at the same time though, on a clay court Rublev will have more time on his forehand and should be able to blow Nishioka off the court if it’s firing. Let’s see if he can continue moving forward here at the 2023 Madrid Open.
