Maxime Cressy will not be happy to play on the clay, with his serve and volley game being primarily effective on quicker courts. With how big he serves on both his first and second serves, he hits a lot of aces, but also a lot of double faults. His ace count will go down, but his double fault count will stay up on this surface, he’ll need to play some higher percentage tennis as especially against a player like Berrettini, I can’t see him having a chance here at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters.

Matteo Berrettini and Maxime Cressy have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. Berrettini is an all-court player, and on the clay, he’ll totally dominate Cressy from the baseline. Considering his massive serving, he’ll be cruising through his service games and have chances to break on the Cressy serve which is very attackable on this surface.
