Miami Masters 2023: Andrey Rublev vs Jannik Sinner Prediction, Odds & Pick

TennisSection previews the 2023 Miami Masters fourth-round match featuring Andrey Rublev vs Jannik Sinner on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Andrey Rublev vs Jannik Sinner Match Preview

Will Andrey Rublev get the win? Will Jannik Sinner pull off the upset? This will be an interesting one, where we have two young talents each playing some of the best tennis in the world facing off. Who will triumph and move through to the quarterfinals at the 2023 Miami Masters?

Andrey Rublev crushed Miomir Kecmanovic, one of last year’s quarterfinalists. Rublev has played some good tennis this year despite a couple of disappointing defeats. He’s looked great here in Miami, but his next opponent in Jannik Sinner is just as dangerous and has played even better tennis this year, if only by a little bit. Let’s see if Rublev can hold up his end of the bargain and look to book a place in the final eight at the 2023 Miami Masters.

Jannik Sinner cruised past Grigor Dimitrov, continuing his excellent run of form to set up a mouthwatering clash with Andrey Rublev. Sinner has had success here in the past, and I think he’ll match up well against Rublev in these conditions, being able to crush his return and hit through the court very nicely. Then again, Rublev’s ability to absorb pace and rally at an extremely quick pace will make for a difficult match. Let’s see if the Italian can get another big win for a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Miami Masters.

Andrey Rublev vs Jannik Sinner Prediction and Pick

Andrey Rublev and Jannik Sinner have met four times before, with the head to head being tied at 2-2. Interestingly enough, both of Rublev’s wins over Sinner came after the Italian was forced to retire. In their first match, Sinner retired after going down 1-2, in their most recent meeting, Sinner retired after going down 0-2 in the 3rd set in the 4th round of the French Open. Sinner took both of their other matches, played on the dirt. In these conditions, both players will be playing at a high level, but I have to slightly favor Sinner to come through this battle and move forward to the last eight at the 2023 Miami Masters.
