TennisSection previews the 2022 US Open as Nick Kyrgios takes on J.J. Wolf in the Round of 32 on Friday, September 2nd, 2022.

Will Nick Kyrgios get the win? Will J.J. Wolf pull off the upset? This will be a fascinating one, where we have the red hot Aussie taking on the hometown favorite. Who will triumph and move through to the Round of 16 at the 2022 US Open?
Nick Kyrgios picked up right where he left off from his last few months on the ATP Tour, continuing to play some of the best tennis of his career as he looks to move into the fourth round of the US Open for the very first time, and he’s looking like the clear favorite to do so. J.J. Wolf will be a really tough competitor, and perhaps the crowd may get under his skin, but Kyrgios will keep his head down, serve big, and look to carry the momentum into the Round of 16 at the 2022 US Open.

J.J. Wolf has been playing some brilliant tennis this week, taking down 16th seed RBA before taking care of Tabilo to set up his toughest meeting yet coming up against 23rd seed Nick Kyrgios. If he wants to win this one, he’ll have to hope Kyrgios isn’t at his best, or else I don’t see how the American can overpower him. It’s certainly possible that we’ll see some fireworks though as Wolf looks to bring the heat here at the 2022 US Open.
Nick Kyrgios and J.J. Wolf have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. Wolf has a really solid ground game and an unorthodox serve, and I really like him in these quick conditions. I think the moment will really help him out as he’s here at home and on fire, but Kyrgios has been playing at his highest level for a little while now, and there are few players who can stop him at his best as the two clash for a place in the last 16 at the 2022 US Open.
