He won’t be loving the conditions here on a slow hard court, but his game will still hold up nicely as he can play pretty decently from the line as well. Gael Monfils and Maxime Cressy have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. Ordinarily I wouldn’t like this match for Cressy, as the conditions are very slow and Monfils can capitalize on that, but Cressy is really aggressive and if he can serve well, I don’t think Gael’s game will hold up in the state he’s in now as the two clash for a spot in the Round of 16 at the 2022 Montreal Open.
