David Goffin is on a 6 match winning streak, winning a title last week and aiming to keep it going with a big win over Dan Evans. Evans is not really a clay courter, and I think it’s a solid matchup for Goffin. He likes to dictate with his very versatile groundstrokes and movement, all of which are just as good on the clay. I expect him to pull off the upset and move on to the Round of 16 of a masters series tournament for the first time in quite a while at the Monte-Carlo Masters 2022.

They met last year here in Monte-Carlo, with the match still going 3 sets. With Goffin looking to be in much better form now, I expect him to continue his inspiring comeback and book himself a spot in the Round of 16 at the Monte-Carlo Masters 2022.
