If he wants a shot at winning, I think his best shot is to grind with Fritz, look to make the rallies extremely long and not allow Fritz to begin running Kecmanovic around the court. Taylor Fritz and Miomir Kecmanovic have met three times before, with Taylor Fritz leading the head to head 2-1. They played a pair of very competitive matches last season in the sunshine double, with Fritz winning in Indian Wells before going on to claim the title, while Kecmanovic took him out in Miami. Kecmanovic certainly has gone down a gear since that period, while Fritz has only gotten better. Although I do think this match could get interesting, I don’t expect Fritz to falter and I expect the American to win in front of his home crowd and claim the title at the 2023 Delray Beach Open.
