This will be a tough encounter, but Ivahska has the stability right now although Korda is really all over the place. Sebastian Korda had a tough loss last week in Atlanta in the 1st round, it’s been a downward trend for him all year, and I don’t necessarily expect him to find that spark here coming up against a very dangerous opponent in Ilya Ivashka. In order to take him down, he’s going to have to play his game, but that means staying in the rallies and not pulling the trigger at every first opportunity. It’ll be quite the battle as he looks to please his home crowd here at the 2022 Citi Open.

Ilya Ivashka and Sebastian Korda have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. With both players at their best, this promises to be a very exciting matchup. Unfortunately for Korda, he can’t really seem to pick up many wins at the moment unless he’s redlining, as for Ivashka, he’s been racking up more consistent results this year and I expect him to show up and take down Korda to move on to the last 32 at the 2022 Citi Open.
