Brandon Nakashima has been improving rapidly as he emerged this year to make it to the 2021 Next Gen ATP Finals. He definitely has a very versatile game, with great potential off the ground, clearly showcasing his talent in that regard, being able to rip forehands and backhands easily. He has a great shot to move through to the next round here, taking on Juan Cerundolo, a player who is definitely ranked a lot lower than him and hasn’t had the same results year-round like Nakashima has. Let’s see if Nakashima can show off his talent to get his first win of the group stages at the 2021 Next Gen ATP Finals.
Juan Cerundolo hasn’t had too many results this year after winning a 250 on the clay earlier on in the year. For a moment, he had the best win rate on the ATP Tour at 100%, above the big 3. He was playing some inspired tennis, with a very versatile game, with great movement and heavy balls to stay in the long rallies and hit winner after winner. However, to maintain this level is a tough task, as well as playing on different surfaces. As a clay courter, the quick courts of Milan will be tough for him to handle. Let’s see if he can take it to Brandon Nakashima and challenge him for their first match of the 2021 Next GenATP Finals.
Brandon Nakashima and Juan Cerundolo have never met before, with this being their first career meeting. Cerundolo hasn’t been playing many tournaments in the spotlight, going through challenger after challenger. With not much match experience and not having hardly any match experience at all on hard courts, to take down Brandon Nakashima would be a huge upset. Let’s see if the two can give us an exciting match as they clash to go positive early in the group stages at the 2021 Next Gen ATP Finals.
